From all what I've read it's going to fail eventually. But then so would any axle if wheeled hard enough.

I've stuck with the 33"s for now on my d30. As soon as I'm not depending on my jeep to be my dd, 37"s here I come!

This isn't always true. There have been some that have run 37's, or even bigger, actually wheeled them, and they are still ticking. But the odds definitely aren't in favor of that...

Default Was just getting ready to ask the same question.. about the oem dana 30. & 3.21's

I was just getting ready to ask the same question, as far at the 3.21 gears with 37's i've seen a couple folks here still running them, but i would imagine it would be pretty sluggish down low, auto trans or stick,, local shop quoted me $1200 for reinforcing and gusseting the front. seems a tad high, but it is past my skill level.. seen some nice rigs on here in the thread "37 club show and tell post" looks like it dates 3 years back,,
looking to do a 4 lift, 1.25 bod lift and a 20in 37 wheel tire package, very lite trail and beach use..

Friend of mine has managed 37" PB Rockers and 3.21's on his 2010 for over a year, which he dd's. Most definitely not ideal, but you CAN get by with it until you regear. He uses 4th and even 3rd on the highway lol.

As for axle reinforcement, I would look into local regional section on here or look for a local club that has a skilled welder who could possibly help you out for much much less. I paid $130 shipped for my truss and gussets and then $50 to a local jeeper to weld them on and my exhaust. Some will even do it for nothing more than a case of beer

Yeah auto would suck more. He has the 5.13's but he has been waiting to have them installed. Recently picked up and is in the process of building up a new (to him) d30 since his is sleeved and welded together after the tube snapped in half  and that was when he was still on 35's lol

I ran 37 km2 on my 2010 jku Sahara with factory 3.73s. NOT ONE PROBLEM. Didn't even have a problem hanging the 37 on my trail gate. Yes it was sluggish but it's a jeep, far as I'm concerned out was sluggish the day it rolled off the assembly line! Lol I'll post a pic in a lil bit, i don't have photos on my new phone
