Plan on going to 4:10's pretty soon.

I hear ya. Its too late...too committed to this d30. Went full retard--Geared/locked/gussetted/sleeved/RCVS with a truss going on soon. If it blows gonna do 60s.

Well. Gearing isn't the issue for me I'm already at 4.88 gears. And I left it open. I'm looking more at the concern of the ability to run the 37's now with out snapping things or breaking things power wise I'm set. It's will I break axle shafts will I blow my diff. Will I snap u joints or steering issues. What has people seen? What have the experienced

That's the real question is "will". We can't give you a real answer as there is no real answer. Some ppl run 38's with a locked 30 and rarely if ever break and some ppl with break crap with 33's. Without knowing how and were you wheel and with how much stress you have and will put on components there is no way to say yes or no to stuff breaking. That said with a larger tire you chances of breaking things do increase

Default Poppycock!!!

Plenty of us WHEEL with D30's on 37"s and larger... I think the thing is to BUY a built 30 rather than build it. I bought a locked, gusseted and sleeved D30 with 513s for $500. Threw in some chromos for another $400 and BJs which I needed anyway... So I spent $1,100 for a built D30 which is a few hundred more than I would have spent on the regear alone., then sold my stock D30 for $275.

If you BUILD a D30 you are wasting money IMO. But if you get one locked and chromo'd and reinforced in the $1,000 range- what did you lose? Excuse my video quality, but this is my last outing on 37"s with a D30:

Default As Marcus at RiverCity said...

...if you spend as much time worrying about your line as you are worrying about your D30, you will be fine!
