Default 37's on 17's?

Hey folks -- I'm wanting to pick up a set of AEV Argent Pintlers, and run 37's....is there a maximum tire width to run safely on the 17 x 8.5? Or am I gonna have to do something else?

The issue will be backspacing with those AEV wheels. AEV uses more backspacing, around 5.25" instead of the usual 4.5" that is recommended with aftermarket wheels. You may want to confirm with AEV if they will work, but if there is a problem it won't be because of an 8.5" wide wheel. I'm running 37x12.50s with a 17x8 wheel, but I have 4.5" of backspacing.

The pintlers state that they are 4.7" of backspacing....so putting a 12.50 on a 8.5 isn't going to be a major issue?

37's x13.5 here on the pintlers.....I run a 1.5 inch spacer...as I had a bit of rubbing at full lock in the frame..all good now..love these tires and the wider look

aired down to 8 psi here.

good lookin' Jeep TF states that you can run a 37" tire with their 4" lift, so do you have to run the spacer? Also, any ideas on where to get the best price on a 37 x 12.50/13.50 x 17 tire?

Jeeps look great in two ways: really clean or really dirty, and that's a pretty dirty jeep
