37's Do I NEED C gussets?
People do it that have 35's or 37's cuz the stock dana 44 front housing and outer C's are weak.. If u hit a pothole on the highway with 37's on u have a pretty Good chance that ur gonna bend or break something. So doing any hard wheeling on big rocks will even have a greater chance of doing this. There actually have been a few cases where someone's axle or outer c bent or broke with stock Rubicon bfg's. So installing sleeves and gussets will help prevent it but not bullet proof it. OFFROAD EVOLUTION sells both sleeves and gussets with full instructions on how to install them. They both require welding, the sleeves require removing front axle shafts and drilling half inch holes in the housing then install the sleeves and plug weld them to the housing. I just installed my gussets yesterday by myself but only took a couple of pics

Thanks for that info
Does anyone know if sleeves limit any upgrades to axles down the road? I'm thinking about CV Axles down the road..
Might be a good chance to install CVs, sleeves, gussets and control arm skids..

I'm prepping for the same. I have the Evo C gussets and a Nitro hammer in sleeve kit from Dave at Northridge.
The guys at the local 4 Wheel Parts quoted me 270 to install both, but they never heard of the Nitro and wanted to weld those in too.
The reason I paid a little more for the Nitro sleeve is so I could do it myself and not have to worry with welding or pay another 90 bucks to have it done.
They started telling me they might still spin even with the design, but yet they knew nothing of them.
Nitro JK 2007-12, Dana 30 44 Front Axle Sleeve Kit
No weld installation
Accepts 35 spline front axles
Easy installation with bearing race driver/large hammer
2" of knurl at each end for secure fitment

I went with the pure jeep backbone kit. Better to do it now than worry about it after the fact. Artec makes a badass truss. If they had it available when I did mine I probably would have went that route... Not saying the PJ is bad, just like the Artec one more.
