I Cant Decide On What Tires To Get Does Anyone Have Any Suggestions I Am Considering The Nitto Mud Grapplers But Not Totally Sold On Them Any Advice Would Be Great Thanks
Also, you should describe what you intend to do with these tires. How will you be wheeling, or just DD mall crawling,...
More info would get you more responses, and try the search option.
Good luck.
Now as for tires... if you are going 37's, and are considering Nittos, then I’m going to also assume that you do intend to wheel it, and probably harder then a dirt road, or a puddle in the parking lot of a grocery store.... so with all that being said...
The Nitto Mud Grapplers are a beasty tire. I'm going with those on my jeep, and will soon be getting a set for my s10 blazer as well (33's not 37's for the blazer, but same tires). I've seen what those tires can do, and have yet to hear anything bad about how they handle in mud, snow, dirt, sand, dry, etc.
The only thing I’ve heard about them is that they are about as noisy as a set of super swapper, and I mean the mud bogger ones.
Now, if you want something a little more quite but still that big, just get a set of 37's BFG Mud terrains, or BFG KM2's. They are nice tires and don't make nearly as much noise.
And if you still want 37's but a quite ride while still being ok off road get a set of Goodyear’s.
There are other brands as well, but those are the only ones I’m familiar with and can tell you about off the top of my head. I’m sure others will be able to provide even more info for you.
I have 37x13.50 18" Nitto Mud Grapplers on mine and there are pro's and con's for sure. The pros are:
- They look awesome
- They rock in the rocks
- They look cool
- They drive really nice on the road
- They look great
- They balanced out perfect with little weight
- They look burly
- They wear pretty well.
The con's
- They are loud
Well, that about sums it up. My dad got 37" Toyo Muds and they are amazing as well. They work awesome on/off road, wear VERY well, look good and are really quiet considering the aggressive tread design.
They MAY be my next tire.

do you really think they wear well? i've never used them myself, so this is second-hand, at best, but all the people i talk to that have them/have had them in the past, say they wear really fast - they have a very soft rubber, which makes them grip so well.
maybe this isn't really the case, but buying a tire for these reason's, as quoted above, "they look awesome, they look great, they look cool, they look burly," are a good way to end up with a tire that you hate, because they are really loud and you spend little time using them off-road.
First guess would be that he has a Sahara and wants to keep his stock wheels... that’s my logical "jump to conclusions"
