I've got 35" tires and 4.10gears and its perfect

Have you tried to tow anything? Mine is perfect at 33's and 4.10's for a DD. IMO, just not so for towing. (which i dont do very often, so the gains in milage really do offset the downs while towing. For me. )

Hey ...wait a minute. How did you get 3.21 gears with 32 inch tires and stock?

I thought 3.21 gears came with 30 inch tires?

My build sheet says I have the 3.21. I fish alot of tournaments and do quite a bit of towing. I realize that the jeep was probably not the best choice for towing but I had to have one. I love it! It does ok towing a 20 ft Ranger bass boat however, I do feel it behind the jeep a little more than a full size truck but that is to be expected. My main goal is to run gears that will allow me to pull better in 5th and even 6th, on the highway, without overkill as the jeep is used as a daily driver. I am concerned that the 4.10 will not be enough. It just doesnt seem that there are alot of folks that have the 4.56 in there jeeps yet. I can tow the boat at 75mph in 5th as long as it is flat but the gas is pegged. I was thinking that the 4.56 would raise my rpm's closer to the power range without killing gas mileage, too bad, when driving around town. 33 tires and 4.56 should get me there i think? Also pulling the boat up the steep boat ramps should be a ton better in 1st gear with the 4.56 gears. I would love 35 inch tires but I believe that it would be even worse as a tow vehicle and that has to be priority. What do you think?

I think I am going to go with the 4.56 gears. I only want do do this once and I think that I would rather have to much gear than not enough. Thanks for all your help and I will let you know what I think once they are installed. I would go with 4.88 but I do have a six speed that will alow a little room.... for that little bit of difference......
