The bracket acts as a lever on your trk bar mount increasing stress and often causing failure of your rear axle bracket. The adj track bar is reccommended to keep this from happening. Because it does not apply the same forces to your axle mount as the bracket does. Although, it's highly recommended that you re-inforce the welds on your stock axle bracket anyway because of the poor factory welds.

The bracket is just what it sounds like, a metal bracket that extends from the factory bracket to help correct the geometry change caused my lifting your jeep. It moves the mounting point of the trackbar so that the axle stays in the correct position. Some argue that this is the best way to correct trackbar geometry... and with tall lifts I agree. Well I think it should be used with an adj. But I am talking like 6" or more. but on lifts like my Teraflex 3" (really gave 4") I only run an adjustable track bar. Many people have had problems with the factory track bracket not being strong enough as it is and then some have added brackets on the axle bolted to the factory one, and they break easily. If you get a bracket, I would get one that is frame mounted, not axle mounted.

Sorry if i semi hi-jacked the thread (seems to be within the topic)
If you use the cam bolts you will have to get your control arm brackets repaired to run adj. control arms later. So I would get them at first but if you can't afford them just run with shallow caster. The Tera kit you were looking at does not come with them. But Teraflex stuff is built for heavier duty use I think (like banging around on rocks) RE may not have that use in mind, ya know? You may not have that use in mind either. If you just cruise interstate and smooth roads, you might can get away with cam bolts and never have an issue.
