Default 4" lift w/ 36's

Just got my 4" Superlift and 16X8 black rock crawler wheels in and was wondering if anybody has used a 36 inch tire w/ this setup. I really didnt want to do any cutting for 37's. The only 36" tires I have found that would fit this wheel are the Swamper TSL radials (36/1250/16). Anyone running this tire as a daily driver or had any experience with it? Or maybe I should just stick to 35's. Ohhh decisions decisions
any pics?

I have some 38 TSL radials... they are better than standard bias TSL tires but they are by no means anywhere near as good as BFG or MTR. Not quite round, not very smooth and quite heavy.

I can't help with how they fit, my JK is being picked up this weekend

Thanks for the info guys. Yeah I like those IROK's but didnt think a 36X1350 would fit on an 8 inch wide wheel. What would you guys pick for a daily driver that spends 90% on road. I must say that work is close and when I go to work I am there for a couple of days, so I only put about 8-10K miles per year on a vehicle. trying to decide between 36" TSL radial, 36" IROK (if they fit wheel), 315/75/16 BF G muds, 35X1250 TrXus MT, 315/75/16 Mickey Thompson MTZ any comments would be appreciated.

if only someone made a 36x12.5x17. That would be perfect IMO on a 4" lift.

Default Iroks

I ran 36x 13.5 x 16 Iroks bias ply on 8" wheels on my 97 Landcruiser for about 3 years. The tire actually handled pretty well, and was relatively quiet when it was new. They started to get louder as they got older, but all in all (for a serious off road tire) they were nice on the road.

I would air down to about 12 psi on the trails and never broke a bead on the 8" rims.

I would recommend that you guys all check the real diameter of the tires, and not get too caught up in what they say on the side wall. The Iroks were 36's, but were 36.7" tall, whereas the MT/R 37" Tires were only something like 36.8" tall. If you go to www.tirerack.com and select the tires you like, you can compare actual widths and heights.

Thanks for the info guys, thats a good point FJ, actually looking at the real specs of the tires. Cannot wait to see pics of your jeep PhilD when you get through! Well I bit the bullet and went ahead and ordered the BF G muds in 315/75/16(35's). Not really what I wanted but these would probably be best for a daily driver plus what really sold me on these were the price...$193 each and thats the delivered price from http://tires-easy.com/.
