Default 5.3 LS swap in Texas (Austin area)

I'm looking for a shop to swap my 3.8 for a 5.3 LS. I live in Austin, Texas. I have called around, and I can't find a mechanic who has done one of these on a JK yet.

Does anyone know of a shop near Austin with the experience?

Also, does anyone know if there is a market for a low mileage 3.8 and 4 speed? I'm wondering what kind of salvage value they might have.

Have you tried Lunatic Customs or Screamin Lizards ? Both are located in the Dallas area. There is also Texas Truck Performance in Texas City. When I was there the guy was dropping a Chevy 402 big block into a TJ.

Have Motech hook you up with John in Helena Alabama..... (or PM me for his info.)

i'm close to doing a 5.3 as well.....

just curious, please give your reasons why you are choosing Chevy LS vs another type: Hemi, 4BT or whatever.
