Default Which 50" lightbar mount??

Could not find a thread on this...

Finally bought a 50"

Which is the best valued light bar?

Looking for
  • low profile
  • ease of hiding wire
  • possibility of lower tabs
  • Some sort of insulation on inside to protect body

Not going to fork over $260 for the poison spyder one, which I think is the best looking- but not justifiable for me.
The crawler concepts mount seems to be pretty sweet, but I want to see some more pictures of it.
Or just get an $80 mount and live with it being a little higher and sticker further out than I would like.

Thoughts? What are your experiences?

Cheers!

If I had to do it over again I'd go with the Crawler Concepts bracket. Looks great, reasonably priced and seems to have tabs for the lower a-pillar lights. . I went with Rough Country brackets as well as some eBay brackets for the lower a-pillar lights. Only cons of my set-up are that I had to source longer bolts to run both brackets (no biggie though) and it's a PITA trying to install them by yourself, you need someone to help you hold the brackets to line up all the holes correctly. Other than that I think my set up looks great. The Poison Spiders are way too expensive imo.

Nice! Looks good. I will probably pull the trigger on it. The light bar I got is a 50inch from the online auction site- 150 bucks! I will post up how it turns out.

Whatever you do make sure you get it locked down as safe as possible. My rigid sr was stolen last week!

Hmm...this mount looks a little different. Puts the light a little higher than most. Do you get less turbulence with this? Less flutter with a soft top?

Rick Slide Engineering made mine, solid one piece aluminum, no ugly joints or welds.

Thanks for all the reply's ^That Rockslide one looks good!

Anyone use the Hyline mount? HyLine OffRoad 400600100 - HyLine OffRoad LED Light Bar Mount for 07-15 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

I like they say you can run the wire underneath it, but no lower mount tabs.

^Bummer your light was stolen! That is partly why I got the $150 50".
