....so the moral of this story is not to switch from 4wd to 2wh (or vise versa) while moving at high(or low?) speeds???

X2 ...Mud cost me a lot of parts, time, money, blood, sweat and tears when I had my CJ7. I wish I had that Jeep back again and wasn't 16 and STUPID. When I started trail running it I quit breaking stupid stuff. My JK will see trails but no mud. Not saying it to be an ass either, just in agreement. And I'm really sorry your Jeep is tore up. I know how it feels.

mud is not that bad yes you can break and the clean up take forever to me rocks and trail ceates a higher risk of body damage while still being able to break something I will stick with the mud

as for your problem I am thinking it going to have to do with the slave cylinder or thrown out bearing if its clutch related as far as burnt up clutch its not a warritiy item then considering its a consumable part

Good Luck SlickWill. I did more damage in mud than any other obstacle. Hidden rocks & mud damged seals over time.

Slickwill -

With all the mods you've done, and the past troubles you've had (didn't you break an axle twice?), is the dealership willing to cover anything under warranty? Good luck and keep us posted on the cause and result!
