Default ? about any 3" lifts

I am torn between the 3" Full Traction lifts and the RC lifts...Anyways my question is will I need to have driveshafts replaced or modified if I plan to install any kind of lift with my 10' 2dr Mountain???

not many off road shops if any in Lincoln so I thought I would ask the pros here! Thanks!

Save yourself the time and $ and put on the FT now. The RC is not near the lift that the FT is. FT, TF, RK, are all great lifts, but are a little more expensive. You will eventually need a drive shaft with any 3" lift on a 2 door

well then very soon I will be pulling the trigger!! FT it is...but what your saying is I can install the lift and eventually have to replace the driveshaft?? Is it going to hurt anything to just install the lift and not do the driveshaft? I mean why does the driveshaft even have to be messed with on these 2drs?

sorry i gotta ask the questions...Jeep is new to me and I wanna be sure to do it right the first time!

I love my FT lift, I ahve aftermarket bumpers and winch and still no spring sag. The increased height changes the angle of your drive shaft from the transmission. This will create a stretch in the rubber boot on the top and a pinch in the rubber boot on the bottom. Eventually that boot will fail and it will spin all of the grease out and ultimately fail. It gives you signs if you check it regularly so you should not be caught stranded. I have a four door with a 3" lift and I keep $500 in reserve for when it fails, the 2 door is more likely to fail sooner than the 4 door, but it should not be immediate.

Hey forgot to get back on here and thank you for the information! Definitely going with the FT lift.. Economy to start out.. Thinking 35"s or 33"s.. Not sure but have to start saving money for those tires! If I wanna run my factory wheels.. Do u know where I can get the correct wheel spacer and how big of one I need??
