Anyone have these? What are the pros and cons? I like them because I keep my stock rubicon sliders...they would be going on a 4 door 2014 rubi unlimited...AEEACEJKRS4DR on 4wheelparts

 

They are great and an easy install. Only negative is that you loose about 2" ground clearance under your sliders.

 

Beat the HELL out of mine & are still going strong! You cant go wrong with them.

 

Take a look at their website and check out the weld on version. They are incredible and will take a pounding!!!

 

Mine are awesome. Took about 20 minutes to put on. It actually took me longer to get all the tools out than it did to install them. The only thing that takes time is the little grinding you do to the washer. They are rock solid. I attached some pics from the day I put mine on. You can see on the side shot, you're really not loosing any clearance. I could see where someone may have a different perception, but if you get down low and look, they are higher than the lowest point of the frame.

 

One of the first mods I made..had them 3+ years. I'm very happy with them. Are there beefier? Sure, but for the price unless you're crawling rock piles daily, they're hard to beat IMO.

 

I have them too. They are great, I use them all the time. I guess visually they look like you are losing ground clearance but it helps keeping you off your frame.

 

Got the bolt-on sliders and factory rubi rails on mine. Great product and they take some a lot of abuse.

 

The only negative reviews I have seen were from guys who spend a lot of time crawling, and have dropped the full weight of their JK onto a rock and ended up pushing the sliders up into the body. If that is your intended use, you will be better off with frame mounting than using the stock locations.

The other negative review is people who think running both the rubi rails plus these adds too much weight. (the counter-argument to this one is that people don't care for the look with the ace sliders, but without the rubi rails.)

 

That sums it up. I'd add that I personally think they should use DOM tubing so they are more resistant to dents. At least make it an option - I get it would add to the cost.
