for the sake of those that do not know, the washer is captive on the bolt so not as easy as just including a washer. The factory washer/bolt assembly would add a chunk to the cost if that was included.

True, although it may be easier and keep costs down, it can be done. See the pic below. ACE could either include a smaller washer with the rails or the consumer can just purchase one at an automotive or hardware store if available...

Not that I am going to let this issue stop me from ordering, but maybe along the way someone should post a before and after picture to help ease potential buyers' concerns.

If no one is able to, I'll try when I order/install mine in the near future.

I just installed mine last week. I used a bench grinder. It's super easy.
On Ace's website, they have a 2 minute YouTube video with instructions. They show you how to remove the bolts, grind them down, and bolt the rails back on. Hope this helps!

Default One more tip

When removing the body bolts they may loosen but not drop out. A few taps with a hammer or using a pry bar will get them out. 3 of mine came right out but three needed a little persuasion.

Installed mine 2 weeks ago. Took my Dad and I about 40 minutes. I used a screwdriver as a pry on some of the bolts while unscrewing to remove them. Also used a floor jack to hold the rails in place during the install. Definitely need to grind the factory washers but it's not much.

not that it will hurt but I did not grind nearly that much off. I ground just enough to fit flush up in the bracket.

I agree took about 40 minutes and 2 people for the lifting. Awesome rails and not that expensive. I kept the stock rubi rails and love the look. Here are some pics.

First one I did I didn't take enough off, so had to cut again. I decided to make sure I cut enough on the rest. Probably could have measured and got all exact and stuff, but where's the adventure in that? lol That does show one of the more aggressive cut ones.
