Default ACE Rock Slider Installation

For those of you who have these sliders, did you have to grind down the washers to install them?

I read a lot about several people having to do this and it even says it on the website.

If everyone is having to grind them down, then why aren't they coming from ACE this way??

Yes u do have to grind them, the washer is already on your jeep, it doesn't come from Ace, it is your stock body bolt. It's really no big deal to do, they are great sliders for a great price. If you're considering not buying them because of this reason, you shouldn't worry about and go ahead and buy them.

Yeah. As easy as it is to grind a few mm off the stockers, it seams like they could fairly easily send out new washers with the sliders and make it a 100% bolt on deal. Still, nothing worth not buying them for.

Like others have stated, you do have to grind down the washers a little bit. I purchased my sliders then went to Lowes and bought a cheapo angle grinder. I had never used an angle grinder before so it was a learning experience. Don't let the fact that you have to grind them down deter you, they're great rails.

Not everyone. I condemn shittybilt because they are made in China. I don't buy them because they are not as well built as any of the American made products I have seen.

I used a drill with a round grinding bit and a vice... too easy.

I've had the ACE sliders for almost a year. Super easy to install and extremely durable. I used an angle grinder, a clamp, and just slightly evened up the two opposing ends of each washer (6 total - 3 on each side). Might have taken a minute per washer. Put a little loctite on the bolt and torque them to specs.
