ace also sells them directly. With shipping they were going to be about $375 new. I picked up some lightly used ones from a member, stepping on them is a little awkward for me getting in and out but I don't need to use it as of now anyways. This might change when the lift goes on.

Just installed ace sliders on my 2012 JKU. I did trim the pinch seam and cut 2 inches off the stock sliders. absolutely love them. i got them from a local vendor so i didn't pay shipping just tax. here are some bad pictures .

I was sliding towards the ace and everyone has solidified my decision. Thanks for the feedback. I'll be getting a set of these soon. It's exciting to finally get the first mod out of the way.(besides the flashlight mount)

One more vote for Ace + Rubi rails.

Here's mine, have had them on since Saturday. Definitely recommend getting Rubi rails on first too if you don't have them. I got some in the classified section for $125

I just installed the src rocker guards today. They fit right up but I will be adding two more supports to each side so they don't flex and hit the body.

What is the point of having the rubi rails and the sliders? Besides having more protection. Just curious.

My jeep is used more as an overlander than a rock crawler. I want the protection for that one instance where it will be needed.

You said it. If you don't use your rig for rock crawling than you don't need the rubi rails or the ACE rails for that matter. I also happen to prefer the look with the rubi rails too. I don't like the gap between the body and the ACE rails when there is no rubi rail present. it just looks like a complete setup with both.

Without rubi rails...

With rubi rails...

Mostly it's because it leaves a gap if you don't have the rubi rail. Looks cleaner with the rubi rail than without IMO.

It does look better.

I'm going to try with just the ace rails first, since I have enough for product and shipping, and not enough for another set of rails.
