Default Ace tire carrier reviews and pics please!

Will those that have the ace tire carrier and bumper please post your reviews and pics? I am considering this but am concerned about the weight and extra square look. I'm not quite sold on the look, so I would like to see some more pics from various angles. Thanks to all who post!

I don't really have any good shots of it and I actually just got a replacement carrier so it looks a little different. The new version has gussets on the vertical sides.

Here's what it looks like getting regeared

Thanks for the pics. How do you like it? Is it quiet and smooth? Anyone else care to share?

These are pictures of two separate swing arms. Both of which developed rust issues. The first took 2 weeks. The second had a weld crack after one week. I wouldn't waste your money. They even changed the swing arm design between the first one and the second. Don't give them the r&d money, buy something that has been tested by people other than paying customers.

Yeah, thats concerning. We shall see if there are any positive reviews to sway me the other way. Its too bad because I thought there was finally an affordable tire carrier!

They solved the rust issue and have a new gusset system for the carrier. Their customer service is great and the price matches most bumpers before you add a carrier. The downside is the weight but if you want a solid bumper you have to accept that 1/4" steel is heavier than 3/16". It's a deep bumper and it takes more hits but I've smashed it numerous times and only scraped powder coat. Last weekend I took the JK vertical and the bumper stopped me from a possible flop a when it dug in to the dirt.

It doesn't rattle, it ties into the rear gate so you open with one motion instead of the carrier then the gate. It mounts easy without drilling holes into the body.

If you have money to burn there are other options but for the price I haven't seen anything close.

Mine rattled like crazy even though it was snugged up against the rubber bump stop. The tire moved up and down significantly. They also said they knew about the rust issue when they sent me the second swing arm. The bumper itself is great, the tire carrier not so much.

Their customer service is great, the problem is with their products.
