Default Add '09+ console storage net to '07-'08?

I like the storage nets on the newer models that are on the bottom of the center console in front of the shifter. Can those be retrofitted to the '07 or '08? Are they the same snap-fittings? Has anyone done this?

Thanks!

It fit perfect on my 07. I find it very usefull, especially when the doors are off or when I have a passenger. I usually leave my cell phone in the cup holder, but the net holds it perfectly when both cup holders are full. Also a great place to stick random receipts or other small items temporarily. Not a lifechanging upgrade, but certainly worth the $$ and 3 minutes it took to install.

I just wish jeep had made the little tray in front of the shifter a bit bigger so it would be of some use. Its too small to hold almost anything, and the jeep sorely lacks space to lay phones, sunglasses, etc.

Default Part No.

I've thought about doing the same upgrade. What I've found is part number 5KT961DVAA for about $36.

Does it matter as far as interior color tan versus grey?

Agreed. I just added the RR dash organizer. Its probably the best mod I've done so far in terms of actual functionality. I use it every day. Works great. Holds all my crap. Solid with zero rattles. And it doesn't effect your line of vision or AC/heater output. Highly recommended for anyone looking for more interior cargo space.

The mounting bracket for my vr3 rear view camera display fit in there like it was made to.

The net gets used pretty regularly on my jeep. I also clip my Bolle Sunglass case to it and let it hang.

I bought a cheep Bell branded basket from autozone, tore off the Bell sticker and velcroed it on top of the console. It's deeper and bigger then the integrated Daystar replacement and much le$$.
