It is all plastic and the clips that hold / secure the top are really small and cheap. If someone wants in -- they can get in. This functions more as an "out of sight, out of mind" option. That being said ... It is great for my needs. And as far as the lease goes ... the holes will be covered by the carpet, so you may be able to get away with it .

Bestop addatrunk is steel and very secure. The only way to get in is to either take a saw to the top or bust in the tailgate and no drilling is required, it screws into existing holes. It is also $100 cheaper than the advertised MOPAR price, I got mine for $189

Thanks,
Can you post a few of pictures of it? Maybe a shot with the seat folded, etc. Does the top lid open up? Their picture is dark and doesnt show much detail.

I put mopars version of this in my sons tj but it was plastic.

The lid does not open up, you access it by opening your rear gate. The box is solid, it does have water tight insulation that meets the gate when closed so if it rains you don't get the inside wet. I will post pictures when I put it back in, I took it out for a trip we just went on. It is held in by 3 bolts.

It would be cool if you could snap a few pictures of it sitting on the floor. Probably better than installed. Thanks!

Thanks for the great information. Does the bestop 4 door version take up the entire cargo area or just the same size as the 2 door bestop? I am looking for the same look that the add a trunk gives. "Look in the back and see just one flat panel." I would like something that takes up the entire cargo.

A smaller size could explain the price difference between the bestop and the add a trunk.

If it is the same size, perhaps I could have room right behind the rear seats for a basslink or other component sub.
