I have the Add A Trunk and think it is great. Once you latch the panels you cannot open it if the gate is closed. It is also very easy to remove if you need the extra space. The best thing is that it keeps everything out of sight.

I've got the Flex-Trunk. Easy to install, tailgate locks panels in place. You cannot open it with the tailgate shut. Baring someone using power tools, its extremely secure. I've stood on it too. Plus, its reconfigurable to shorter lengths if you need some taller space. If you need the trunk completely open, it takes about 3 min to remove all the panels and the steel back plate, leaving just the side panels. Works pretty well.

Alas, I have one complaint. You cannot utilize the Mopar soft top boot with it. The soft top folds down, but not enough for it to fit into the boot as designed. Otherwise, I'm thrilled with it.

JeffreyDV,

Can you tell us if there's a vertical divider between the rear seats & the rear? I'm just wondering if the seats can be down, or if they need to be up to close-in the space...

Got any picture? :-D

Thanks!

I'm considering both of these, but I'm missing some info, so if you already own on of them, maybe you could fill in the blanks...

On the BesTop Flexatrunk there's a vertical divider behind the rear seats. This would allow the 2nd row seats to be folded and still have a secure trunk area. What's not clear is if that vertical piece is removable. I sometimes need to haul stuff that needs the whole length of the rear area (with seats folded), so that vertical divider would be in the way.

It's also not clear if the Mopar design uses a vertical (removable?) divider or not, so the 2nd row seats would have to be raised to close-off the trunk. That would surprise me though, since all you would need to do is drop the 2nd row seats to gain access...

My only complaint with the add-a-trunk on the 2dr anyhow......is it is only 11" high...but I still love it.

How strong is it? Can I stack stuff on top of it? Like a couple cases of beer?
