Default Adding backup sensors to rear tire area

I am looking into adding rear backup sensor to help with a new driver learning to park. I have seen the kits on amazon that have 4 sensors that mount to the bumper and wire to a display that you mount somewhere. Instead, has anyone tried mounting just one sensor to the rear tire area? I think this is where the backup sensor is in newer jeeps. I just want something simple that beeps if you get too close to a car in reverse, I don't need to see the display, just hear the beep, so I am thinking I can just mount it somewhere in the rear that makes sense.
