Trackbar drop bracket:

- Pro: recenters the axle
- Pro: keeps the drop angle geometry close to stock
- Pro: inexpensive
- Con: By moving the trackbar mounting points farther from axle and frame, it increases the torque applied to the axle/frame weld points
- Con: one setting only, cannot adjust for exact centering of axle

For me, the first con listed for brackets made my decision for me. We have seen many weld failures due to trackbar brackets reported here on this forum.

That picture got me what I was after pretty much. I was wondering what I could do on my own as far as taking the stocker track bar, and making an adjustable one. McMasterCarr has tube ends for this type of application, along with heim joints. My issue with that is the 'stick out' length that the heim joint would possibly have.
I know someone else will have others issues than my main issue, but i was looking for preliminary info only at this point. And yes, I do have the facilities & equipment to create an adjustable trackbar, aside from a forged one.

Once i get a project-jk gallery, Ill post some of the stuff Ive made for the jeep, did a full bumper and have rock rails ready to go.

Thanks for the info everyone.

The picture pretty much did it for me too. I went to the Northridge site and the JKS trackbars are a good bit cheaper than the others. I was looking for a trackbar that I can use on a 2" lift, but still use it when I decide to go a little bit higher so it looks like JKS for me.
