Better than previous years? Or compared to a TJ?

Better than the previous JKs.

A stick, mud, and a jolly rancher would be better than the stock TJ set up

Is the cable weak aslo? I thought the nonsense plastic clips were the problem. Ive thought about making bronze bushings and using E clips in place of the original plastic clips....

Haha. Yea it is def better than the TJ setup.

Im not certain. But I don't think the 2011's are any better than previous JK's. In terms of transfer case shifter. They all have the weak plastic parts that fail.

did the install this morning. i just need to finish dialing in the cable adjustment and give it another test drive. I ran out of time before work. I'll have pics and notes on the install up sometime in the next couple days.

Do you notice an increase in vibrations in the cabin coming through the new shifter?

i havent driven it enough to notice any noise transmission yet, i only had timw to take it around the block. The new cable was habging on the front driveshaft, so i need to get a bolt to thread into an unused mount on the tranny to keep the cable up, until then i cant really dive it much, because the clamp on the ds boot tears at the outer sheathing. Once i grab the bolt (hopefully in the next hour or two) i'll take it for a ride on the beach and cycle through the transfercase. I think i may need to do a little more dialing in, beacuse in the trip around the block and at a stand-still in the driveway 4x4 engaged fine, but i had trouble getting back into 2x4 a few times. i'll let you all know how i make it with it, and hopefully post the entire write it in its own thread by tomorrow night. i'll link the new thread in this one.

Haven't even read the whole thread yet...

But to Advance Adapters for stepping up.

$180?! Luckily I have a good job at the moment (until I get replaced by some little kid in India) so that's about the right price to avoid a trail hassle imo.

Looking forward to the feedback from the lucky 3.
