Default Advice needed

I've just finished with my final exams, and gotten payed, that means its time to finally start ordering. its between 33" tires and 2.5" TF spring lift, or 35" tires and a 3" (slight chance that i get a 4") TF Lift.. with the 3" and a 2dr 6 spd do i have to change drive shafts and all that? and the most important question, which combo would be better on the desert, after i lift i will also regear.. so is it 2.5" with 33" tires or 3" with 35" tires... up untill now i was thinking the 33" would perform better on dubai's sand but now am thinking otherwise? wat would be the best thing to regear to for this combo also? im thinking to go with Parnelli Jone Dirt Grip All-Terrain Tire.... the reviews say great things about this on sand...

I'm almost 100% certain the Teraflex 2.5" coil lift will fit 35s with no problem.

The 2.5" should fit 35's. They will give you 3" up front and 2.5" in the rear. If you need more room you can do a 1" body lift. This way you shouldn't need new Drive Shafts.

That being said, I kinda want the 3", but I have a 4 door.

Congrats on the exams.

i would definetly get 35's. if you are even considering them then you will be sorry later if you only go with 33's. as for the lift i bougt the 3" black diamond and even with the 4" of lift that it gave me i still had to trim my stock fender flares so i didnt rub at full flex. so i would get at least a 3" lift if you plan to go offroad.

I just posted pictures of my 4dr with a Tera 2.5BB and 35's in another thread, but here it is again. I am still running the stock 3.21 gears, and spend a lot of time in the snow (I know, it's not the same as sand, but It can act the same) and it has worked out pretty well for me. I can keep the high wheel speeds up and not over-rev the engine. I need a lot of gas to get going in the deep stuff, but once I'm rolling, it's great.

Bushwackers help with the rubbing

noone gave me any comments on the tires...

and with 33's wouldnt i hav more torque which i need? or am i just mumbling? :P

how are spyderlocks on sand? and is the smallest size 17 inch? cant i get 15?

Between the 2 lifts mentioned above, the 2.5" will yield you the lowest COG....

Question

Ahh the Dubai Deserts, I was there once, For the tires it would depend on what gears you have right now, One way would be to specify the type of JK you have or the gears themselves, With sand you aren't going to need alot of low end torque but will need some. with the 4.10s in some of the JK's people seem to be fine running 35's other complain there isn't enough power. I would run 4.88's and the 3"TF ultimate with 35's for the hills there and the dunes I would go with the wider tire to float over the sand and bagging down helps out. Depending on the location you go to I know one place has a nice area where groups meet to go out and there is a place to air up the tires I forget the name but it is where all the Desert Safari tours go. I have wanted to go back there since I left the last time, here is a few pics of the terrain that Wizzo will be having fun in. You may even recognize the place as well.
