So I'm new to the jeep game, just got a 2015 JK Sahara 2 door back in February and I'm starting my build. Ordered a mopar stage 3, 3" lift with fox shocks, and plan on getting some 35" tires to mount on my stock 18" wheels. Any one have any insight on some good rubber. It's my DD and I don't do any crazy off roading, just mainly trails. Looking for something that isn't too aggressive for a daily driver. Thanks in advance!

 

I'll let others do the tire round-up. I assume you know, but you'll need some wheel spacers to run 35s on stock wheels. I think 1.5" is the standard.

 

Most people will probably suggest a Goodyear Duratrac. Really good (aggressive looking) road tire.

how many miles on wheel spacers do you have ?
is there a problem with running them really high mileage like 120,000, If I have a lift and want 35s do I need wheel spacers still?

I have an ome 4 inch lift and am about to go to 35's I put wheel spacers on before I got the lift, ( to handle a 285 70 17 tire)

I got he lift, which I needed to support the bumper and winch ( The weight of those items collapsed my stock rubi springs to less than 1/2 inch of travel)

or in other words can you run 35s with a lift without changing the back spacing of a stock rubicon wheel?

 

Been running 35" Falken Wildpeak ATs on DD 2013 JKUR for about 9 months now. Quietest and smoothest ride of any large tire I have ever had on any vehicle. Also took to the trails in Hot Springs AR in fall and spring on these and had no trouble with running "4" out of 5 rated trails over wet and loose rock after all that rain we had down this way. The fall trip we ran these stock with no lift and only rubbed at full turn on the stock front bumper. Spring trip we just ran these with our 2.5" Metalcloak and had more than enough articulation and clearance to handle some pretty challenging trails. Now with the nice weather and top and doors off we def appreciate how smooth and quiet these tires are compared to the BFG MTs that we had before.

Yes, you still need to move them out even if you have a lift. The tires are both taller and wider than stock. When the tires are turned, especially when a tire is stuffed offroad or when hitting a bump/dip onroad, they can contact the frame, plastic skid, bumper, links, etc. A net 4.5" backspace is the typical recommendation for 35's. (stock rims are around 6.25"-6.0" backspace. Subtract a 1.5" spacer equals a net 4.75-4.50")
