Default Advice for stock front diveshaft clamp solution?

So, went out wheelin today and the front driveshaft clamp for the boot came undone on my friends' Rubi. Hit on the edge of the transmission pan and took it right off. Is everyone trimming the edge of the pan a little bit? Using a different style clamp, zip tie? Was thinking of a clamp that would require a swage tool and not have the square chunk sticking out would be alot better than the stock one if I knew the exact diameter. Right now, put a zip tie on very tight in the middle of the trail and it's holding just fine with quite a bit lower profile than the factory clamp and they're very plentiful Drove at interstate speeds on the way back home and it didn't sling any grease and seems fine

If your friends Rubi is lifted more than 3 or 4" then I think it might be recommended to get a new after market front drive shaft.
