Stay away from cam bolts on any lift.

It is the only lift where with ~3.5" of lift and 35" tires your slalom speed actually is quicker than stick!

It is the lift I for sure will go with when i have the funds.
You sound like a mouthpiece for AEV and your 'facts' are anything but.

I don't know if AEV is the only kit, but it is a kit that does change the roll center of the JK and improves it over stock. When slalom times were run against an AEV lifted JK and stock, the lifted had less body roll, less bumpsteer, and was faster. There's a head to head comparison out there you can find with Google using "AEV Nth Degree". I don't like the cambolts either, but I do really like the rest of the kit. When I've got the bucks saved, I'll be doing the AEV lift along with adjustable arms from somewhere else instead of AEV's cam bolts.

I don't think he sounds like a mouthpiece. He sounds like an uniformed teenager to me. Nobody with any knowledge of suspensions would say any of those statements.

Cam bolts are not my first choice although they have been around a long time and do work well but dont miss out on this sweet lift just because your worried about cam bolts. I purchased front lower adjustable control arms to make up for the cam bolts. One of main reason AEV keeps the stock control arms is because of the rubber bushings and how smooth they are. JKS came out with really nice adjustable control arms that have OEM style rubber bushings. This lift handles awesome, trust me you wont regret it one bit. Ive been driving jeeps for 15 years and this jeep with 37's and and 3.5 inch lift handles unlike any other jeep Ive ever driven.

I am in complete and utter disbelief that slaloming a JEEP is even being discussed...or even has one lick of interest. It's completely laughable to me. That's like trying to determine the off road capabilities of a C-6 Corvette. Stupidest thing I ever heard.

I don't think that it is with the intention of actually going out and doing a slalom, but rather that it shows the stability in extreme emergency situations.

One thing that Nth / AEV kits have always been known for is the spring and shock tuning. The spring tuning for AEV is done by running on the Mopar track that has a specific bump style in it (similar to a rumblestrip on the highway) and running the vehicle without shocks over it at the speed that they felt is appropriate for the vehicle ( I am assuming they did it around 45mph). Once this is done then they add the shocks into the mix to handle larger / smaller bumps and to help control the axle when it is outside of these predetermined range.

The other thing they are known for is their geometry correction. They moved the track bar up 6" from the axle, compared to most companies that move it up the same amount that they are lifting the vehicle. This is to help minimize the rear steer that is felt when traveling at speed and the rear end compresses. I know I currently have the Tera 2.5 sping kit since I didn't have the money for the AEV kit, but I think that the AEV is the nicest one in regards to shocks, springs, and geometry. I wouldn't reccomend not getting a kit due to the lack of control arms since that is something that is easy to replace or change if you don't want to use cam bolts.

This is the response I have seen on several forums and it has me scratching my head too. When a manufacturer takes an old approach and claims it is somehow better I am skeptical but at least listen. When all kinds of posters begin telling me about the swiss knife qualities of the lift I start to tune out. When the most repeated refrain centers around its slalom capability I
