Default AEV 3.5 or other?

Hello all,
I just purchased another Rubicon the other day. My 2012 Rubicon was awesome and took me all around Colorado and Moab. I put a AEV 3.5 lift with 35 TOYO's MT's on it 6 years ago with great success.
Is there any other lifts out there that have gotten any better then AEV? Sorry I've been out of the loop for awhile. Ive seen Icon lifts, any good?

depends I guess on what you want. AEV is good as are Metal Cloak and RockKrawler. I would say Metal Cloak is getting lots of love at present.

thanks, never even heard of Metal Cloak. Looks pricey. Will these kits give good on road drivability like the AEV? Lots of new stuff out there.
Rock Crawler good stuff?

Meh, pass on the Rock Krawler. They're ok but I think you can do better. My coils (not very old) are rusting.

I have the 3.5 aev. No complaints. Ride and handling a lot like factory.

my advice is if you have not heard of Metal Cloak then the AEV will do everything you will want or need it to do. I just installed a 3.5 game changer on my buddy's new jkur and it rides very well. I just installed an AEV lift on my new jeep after having a Rock Krawler for the last three years on my 14 JKUR. I had 3 different sets of coils starting with 1.5" and ultimately 3.5" they did rust bad as was mentioned and my 2.5" coils sagged quickly. I think QC at RK may be subpar but maybe just got a bad batch.

Triple rated coils with the AEV. Even after 60k+ miles, no rust and no sag.

I may change the shocks to some adjustable Kings or Fox but other than that, no issues at all after 4+ years. Only wish I would have gone to a 3.5" instead lol...

Get a beefy aftermarket DS and you're good to go.

If I were in the market for a 3"-3.5", aside from AEV I would look at the MetalCloak, Synergy, and JKS. All just depends on how much $ you're planning to spend but at least AEV were the ones to really nail down the geometry first.

I'd say go with the AEV. It served you well last time. I put the 4.5" AEV lift on my 2014 with 37" Nittos a month after I bought it with only 500 miles on it. I still love it as much as when it was new. I have 34,000 miles on it now with no issues. I live in the Northeast and the winters get bad but my coils have held up pretty good considering the salt from the roads and beach driving out here.
