AEV really makes a great lift! I personally ran the 3.5" JKS JSPEC Kontrol lift with Fox shocks and was very happy with the ride quality:

JKS Manufacturing JSPEC? 3.5? J Kontrol Suspension System for 07-17 Jeep® Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited JK | Quadratec

Thanks,

As I mentioned to much "heated" debate by others on another thread, I would go with the JKS. This coming from someone who is currently running AEV. For the quality parts you get, the current pricing on the JKS systems are priced very aggressively since they are trying to gain market share.

Having said that, I've got a good mix from both running AEV's 2.5 and JKS's flex/quick disconnects along with their beefed up control arms.

But if you like to throw money away, then I would go for the Mopar 3" or 4" lift kit.

Lol, could read that 2 different ways. Mopar is super awesome but pricey or mopar is literally throwing your money away.

Well to some, the Mopar kit is apparently awesome lol. Especially @ $2,364 from Quadratec. ---> http://www.quadratec.com/products/16170_1024.htm

But it's not to me

There's a thread on "4" lift" several pages back. It's a pretty entertaining read

JKS or AEV, I don't think you can go wrong. I'm going to bow out of this thread now before the trolls show up lol. Good luck either way.

Really thanks DJ1, I saw the Mopar kit at the jeep dealer. I was wondering if it was anything worth while.
leaning to JKS and Rock Crawler.
I know AEV is good but already had it, looking for something new so I can be one of the cool kids a MOAB. LOL

I've driven many many many lifts. My favorite for on road is the AEV 3.5 for sure, no question. It does decent offroad but not fantastic. My favorite offroad is the TF Long Arm. The TF has a bit more body roll than the AEV on road however but is still pretty stable.

I'd suggest not just looking at the Metalcloak price and blow them off as pricey. Take a look at their control arms and the bushings they use and compare them to joints that others use and to the factory arms. I personally have a whole mix of products on my jeep, but when it came to arms I really liked the MC duroflex joints. If the AEV can meet your offroad needs, you obviously know it provides a nice pavement ride with the geo brackets. I think the MC gives a nice balance of on/off road if you're more aggressive once you leave the pavement.

3.5" kit with Rock Sport shocks and everything most daily driver's would need can be had for $1500. Adding driveshafts and steering is where the costs start adding up.
