Cool AEV bumper

well here is another AEV bumper post.

instal was prety "basic" as far as bumpers go but there is a little more to it with the whole crush can thing than other bumpers. just fallow the instructions on AEV's website and you should be good to go.

the only thing I want to add is if you do decide not to do the whole cut out the crush can thing and your mounting a winch you may need to grind out the spots on the bumper where it is "clearanced" for the winch bolts. I forgot to get a pic so I'll get one tomarrow but without the material from the crush cans the bumper and the winch mount are close and you cannot get the front winch bolts tightend. once I get a pic it may make it a little more clear ??

any way here are some pics. any questions feel free to ask.

so here is the start , the stock bumper

all the parts from AEV (bumper, winch plate, tow hooks, and skid plate)

bumper off

winch plate and winch

Can Winches be added AFTER installing this bumper?
This looks like the bumper I'm going to go with also but I may have to wait a bit for a winch.

Thanks

Wow! That looks great! I wish I hadn't bought the Warn bumper... so damn stupid the winch sits up on top rather in like yours.

I installed the same bumper and winch a couple of weeks ago.

No, you have to remove the bumper to install the winch. The winch mount is kindof like a bumper inside a bumper. Removing the bumper isn't hard, but if you have the skid plate you have to remove that first. I hope this helps.
