They are available. Northridge4x4 carries them. I assume that they have holes for the license plate.
Here is a pic from AEV's site.

It shows holes for the plate.

Contact Dave at Northridge, or try AEV directly. I remember there being a thread about this before, but for the life of me I can't find it. I am pretty sure you can get those without license plate holes though. Would be pretty odd of AEV didn't offer them without the holes, considering that most of the foreign JK's don't even have that license plate mount anyways.

You could always just get the plug for the holes too.

I contacted AEV directly about these in August of '07. This is the response i received at that time:

"At this time we do not offer the corner guards without the license
plate holes. It is, however, on our list of products to offer and we will
more than likely be selling them near the end of this year.

Thanks, john

John Natoci"
that would have been around christmas time.
I STILL have not seen them.

I just re-sent the inquiry. We'll see which year they say this time.

Just received this back from AEV:

We have not pursued any other design iterations for the corner guards and do not plan to do so in the near future. I apologize we can't accomodate your needs at this time. Thanks, John

Well, so much for AEV, maybe somebody else will step up and make some.

Why can't you just puddle weld the holes? That would be the easiest thing.

because.... I dont wanna?

I dont have a welder. If i did, then i would need to repaint them anyhow? I was hoping to avoid having to do that by just getting them the way i wanted in the first place.

Just slap a sticker over the holes. No welder needed.
