Default AEV drop brackets.

So I purchased these brackets to see if it can help with my rough ride. Went to put them on and can't get the stock bolts off. Any tips? I tried pb blaster and a breaker bar. No luck. Also will I need any alignment after these?
I'll post reviews when I finally figuure it out.

you really need to use a BIG breaker bar or impact wrench.

maybe an electric impact but, i don't know if it'll have enough power to do the job.

are you having issues due to rust? because you really should be able to free up your control arm bolts with the breaker bar you have. try slipping a pipe over the end of it to give you more leverage.

I have the AEV Geometry Correction Lower Control Arm Kit. Installed with OME Springs, JKS Track bars/Control Arms. And OME Nitro Shocks makes for a Very Controlled & Comfortable ride.

Get your ass under that bar. Use your frame as leverage with your legs and PUSH or PULL. Try different ways, you should be able to get it. At 135 lbs, I've broken nuts, bolts, sockets, and wrenches. You can do it, just find the right leverage points.

you'll forgive me but, your ride is very comfortable due to the OME coils and shocks. the OP is having issues with the harshness of his ride and it is these things that would really help him.

No doubt control arms at a lower angle can be part of a smoother ride

2 cents from the peanuts gallery

the OP only has a 2.5" lift. unlike the old TJ, the factory JK control arms are plenty long enough for anything under 4" and the change in geometry will not be enough to significantly effect your ride quality as the OP has been experiencing. at 4" and above, yes, long arms or drop brackets WILL help correct or level out your suspension geometry and that will help improve your ride quality BUT, not as much as a set of coils with a softer spring rate and a good set of nitro shocks tuned to them. but hey, what do i know
