Default AEV heat reduction hood?

I just had some wicked golf ball to baseball hail damage here in Austin TX. Only thing that got pretty dinged up was my hood. Anyone running this hood? Any comments help.

Haven't heard any complaints. They are run on many Jk's with very nice looking results.

Dude! If I needed a replacement hood I would go with the AEV, it's sweet! Especially if your insurance will pay for the "repair".

I would do it in a heartbeat. An easy way to increase power just the same way they do on a dyno with the hood up. Sure to increase power as a 10 degree drop in under hood temperatures equates to a 1% gain in power. That would be more than good enough for me especially if the insurance company is picking up part of the tab.

I know that it is a much thicker steel than the stock hood so it should hold up better to hail than what yours did, but I am not sure how it does in soft ball sized hail.

Burnsville Offroad has a lot of Project JKs on their website with the AEV hood and the TMD heat reduction cowl induction hood

Both look great

I got my AEV hood from the result of hail damage. Insurance didn't cover the entire replacement, but couldnt resist the upgrade. The AEV hood is definitly 100% better than stock!
