It also doesn't rain on you engine with the TMD one. Sure the engine is probably wet rated with it getting splashed from the bottom all the time, but it seems strange. Probably not that big of a deal but I would get the TMD one.

how bad is your hood lets see some pics

love the AEV hood though and you don't have to cut any holes out of your hood if you want to put on the snorkel

The AEV hood is real nice, one of my buddy's has one and I want one bad but right now I cant comprehend forking over $1000 CDN + paint job for it. After seeing the TMD hood I may have to go buy one, cowl looks awesome.

The TMD hood is more expensive than the AEV last time I saw it was $799.

I love my AEV hood and would recommend anyone get one. I actually think though that the TMD hood would stand up better to hail, it's made of plastic so I'd guess it's less likely to dent. From a head on view I think the AEV looks better, but you couldn't go wrong with either in the looks department I think.

If I had my choice, I would get the AEV hood, the fit and finish on there products is incredible!
