AEV Premium Front Bumper Install
I like to use a bit of anti-seize when I'm assembling new hardware. The bumper requires some minor drilling. Probably need some flat black touch up paint. Extra tie wraps and electrical tape for re-doing the foglight harness. Have you had a chance to read through the install directions? They are posted on the AEV site.
1. Get a head start and take your crush can hardware and have it cut prior to the arrival of the bumper. Cutting and trimming those would have saved me about an hour. I broke all my saw bits and had to go low-tech.
2. Buy the AEV touch up paint. Its very useful for covering the bare metal after cutting and triming and works great on the bumpers and rails.
3. Follow the directions. Every step exactly the way they tell you to do it. If you skip something its a pain in the ass to remove the last couple steps and go back through. At times I would get stuck and wonder why they would do something, then a couple steps later you figure it out.
4. If you're installing a winch. Remember, to get to hard to reach places or access to the spool you have to disassemble the bumper to get to it. Same goes for getting to the lights behind the grill. One the bumper is in place, access is very limited.
5. Use the right tools and don't force anything. If you strip a bolt, order another cause eventually you'll need to get back there again.
I think that about covers it. I've had my bumper on and off at least 5 times since the initial install. Perfect bumper though and its been great!

My mast still isn't quite straight. I got the shims to straighten it out, but I dread the procedure.
