Default AEV ProCal ''clear DTC codes'' question

Just got a AEV Procal this morning. Very cool, made all the appropriate changes to my JK.
The only thing not working (?) is that the horn does not honk when i plug the module in with the ''clear DTC codes'' setting. Note that my Jeep doesnt have any error codes right now (besides ESP/BAS light, thats another story). Does it need to have active error codes in order to complete the procedure, or is it just not working?

I used the clear error function one time, but I had an error to clear and it did honk the horn.

I also wondered about this. No errors here and everything else i played with on the procal worked fast and fine.

I cleared the codes "even tho there weren't any" and got no honk. I guess you have to have a code to clear in order for it to do something.

Lots of ways to create a code. With a quarter tank of fuel or less just take a 5 minute ride with the gas cap off. That will throw a code and then your clear DTCs should sound the horn.
