AEV Procal and TPMS Issue
Searched and couldn't find my exact problem... so I thought I'd put this out there before contacting AEV.
2012 Sahara Unlimited, Manual 6spd.
AEV Procal for 2012
Did the following:
1. Tire Pressure threshold set to 20psi on the dip switches (and yes, was holding it the right way, switches are correct).
2. I turn the key to ignition, the engine lights come on for a second etc. etc.
3. I plug the Procal into the port, horn honks immediately twice. the seatbelt light flashes twice as well and the low tire warning flashes the words "low tire" and the icon lights up for second.
4. I turn the key to full off position.
5. I unplug the Procal from the port.
Should be good right?
I then let the air out of a few tires down to 10psi. Leave it like that for a bit, drive a short distance on my property.
Still no TPMS light comes on. It's like it's basically just fully "off" now and the threshold settings do not work. I tried some further psi settings and still nothing.
From the other threads I read, I followed the proper procedure of leaving it plugged in until you turn the ignition to off and remove the key. But still the light will not come on at a psi lower than the threshold.
Ideas?
Cheers! ~ Paul.

When I did mine I did the following:
1. turned the key on
2. plugged it in
3. the horn beeped twice
4. unplugged it
5. turned the key off
I looked at the manual and it said you had to turn the key off before you start the vehicle. Not before you unplug it.
When I put my new wheels and tires on it they didn't even have the TPMS units in them. I drove 30 miles before the light came on.
I just set it to zero. I couldn't see the point. If I set it to 20 the light would still come on every time I aired down. If I left it stock, the light would come on every time I aired down. Since I usually drop down to about 11-12 lbs when I offroad it would come on. If I set it to 10 lbs I would practically have to have a blowout for it to go off. If I had a blow out I don't need that little light on the dash to tell me

Somewhat of the same issue. I set the pro cal at 26 psi and I'm running 29 but the light wont go off.
Followed the same instructions,
1- ignition only on
2- plugged in pro cal
3- horn honked twice
4- removed procal
5- turned key off
6- turned ignition on
7- drove a bit and light wont go away

I bought some takeoff tires and wheels from an older JK and put them on my '12 JKU. It took 40 miles before the TPMS light came on. I used the AEV procal to turn off the TPMS stuff completely.
