The tire carrier integrated into the tail gate is simply AEV copying Expedition One. It would appear that they saw so many people praising that feature they jumped on and did it themselves. Unfortunately, the rest of that bumper leaves much to be desired, and I believe it was recommended to not drink from the water holders. Plus, since the tops don't lock, just hope some punk doesn't come along and deposit more than just water in there. lol

Seriously though, where are the guys who've been holding off getting a rear bumper for 2years in anticipation of this thing. I want to hear from them and see if they're ready to fork out what's sure to be a pretty penny for that thing. I love their JK products, but I can't imagine that rear bumper was designed by the same person who designed the front bumper.

I love the new bumper and I am getting it. The design remind me a little bit of the Jeeperman rear bumper which I was considering buying before the company closed.

I like it a lot...
What I liked about the front was how it 'flowed' with the flares and this rear one does the same. It doesn't look like something that was built outta plate steel on the farm.
The clean, removable tire carrier is a bonus and the tailgate attachment is such a great idea, why not go with it; copied or not.
A step and D-ring mounts too.
Looks like the tire mount is a standard receiver?? Which would allow me to mount my tire lower, higher, left or right with just a different slide-in?
Yup I like it.

Cap needs to be black tho, or just put it yellow 'cause you know somebody is gonna take a leak in it- friend or foe

I have been waiting on this for a while, and I can say it wasn't really what I was expecting since I was thinking more along the lines of the stamped steel front. Having said that I like the corners being a modular type item so that maybe they will have different accesories depending on your needs. Also I know they set up their carrier so that you can completely remove the rubber bumpers on the swing gate, which must be overbuilt. I also like how the bumper meets the flares in a similar fashion to the front. We will just have to wait and see how much for the rear bumper and then I will make my final decision.

I do like the water featuer though. On sunday it was a little dirty where I go off road and I was thinking I wish that there was an easier way to wash my hands than having my wife pour a water bottle on them while I scrub. I think this would be nice since I do like to stay sanitary, and have good hygene even when outdoors.

I think it looks awesome. The water jug feature is pointless to me. I do think the bumper looks trail worthy, light, and utilitarian unlike the front which looks like someone slapped half a buick on the front it is so big. This one will probably look nice with the simple bumper (winch plate style) they made at first that was on the Rubicon King concept.

Some quick thoughts I have on the bumper. First off, let me say that I am a fan of AEV, but this is not what I expected. I would have liked to seen a winch mount incorporated. Not a big fan of the tubing -- seems like a new twist on the double tube bumpers. I do like the D-Ring mounts and AEV's ability to match the lines to the flares. It looks like the spare tire is not centered -- don't like that. I would like to see how they are attaching the Hi-Lift.

Why do the plastic corners have to carry H20? It seems with the fill cap being such close proximity to the gas cap it would good place to hold petrol. Integrated jerry cans isn't such a bad idea... that is if proper R&D was invested and I believe AEV are on their game when it comes to that field.

I dig it
