Default AEV Snorkel + OEM to AEV Heat Reduction Hood - bracket or no bracket?

I'm switching from my OEM hood to the AEV reduction hood. For those of you with the AEV snorkel, did you also switch over the riveted plastic used to cover the sawed off edges on the OEM hood? Should I just remove the mesh on the AEV hood?

Feedback appreciated.

Ok if you look at the AEV hood it is a finished product with the opening built into the hood complete with the flange backing for strength. The flange itself will interfere with the nuts on the screws. And honestly I would never take my 750 hood not including paint or fitment that is made for the product iam installing and drill a bunch of holes in it.

The finish piece for the cut out on a stock hood is for 2 things to give the area cut some integrity and cosmetics to cover the cuts.
You don't need the trim.

Got it. Seeing as it's my local body shop doing the swap, I'll tell them to just remove the mesh.

No. My local 4x4 shop did the original install. This is an insurance replacement so I have to go through the local body shop for paint and replacement. I'll post pics on Tuesday.
