I had originally purchased the bumper only, the version without the swing. When I looked at the AEV swing design, I had to have it and made it work.

 

I cant decide.

-Mopar rear bumper and swing-$1100

 

I haven't seen anything I like the design of as much as the AEV carrier.
I know the price is steep, but it does have the ability to open with the door,
it bolts onto the frame, and options for a fuel caddy inside the spare rim.
Not to mention I can install it on the stock bumper, which I kind of like, but with the option to
add a different bumper later if I choose.
Mine arrived today. Weather permitting I will get it installed over the holidays. Then I can get
my Duratracs mounted to my AEV Saverge rims, and not have to worry about the weight
causing problems with my gate, or hinges.

 

I made my own bumper to go with the AEV swing.



It's just a simple piece of aluminum channel sandwiched between the D-ring mounts and a backing plate.
