Default afe Y pipe

What are yalls thoughts on the afe y pipe? I was curious about this in lieu of the teraflex exhaust spacers. I currently have the spacers, but have read where some have had issues with or had to shim their skid plates down due to the spacers pushing the exhaust pipe lower.

Go to an exhaust shop and have them weld spacers in. The reason the teraflex spacers push the exhaust down is because they insert at a point where the exhaust is sloping down. There are areas on both sides where there is virtually no slope. Just have spacers welded in there and you will be good to go.

Thanks for the information. i may look into this as well.

Also, I see that Magnaflow offers a similar product. Anyone have comments on this one as well.

I installed the aFe y-pipe and double cardan drivelines in anticipation of the lift I'm going to run. No problems at all. Installs super easy and CLEAN. Frees up tons of space forward of the trans crossmember. I say go for it.

If you can afford it, get the Y-Pipe and have it put in.

#1 - It moves the cross over to behind the trans cross member, out of the way of the drive shaft.
#2 - You have a 4 door, so you have this as an option where I don't :(
#3 - The exhaust spacers push the cross over back, but maybe not enough for a 4.5" or bigger lift - not sure - I have a 3.5" and it's close.
#4 - The exhaust spacers (at least on my 3.6L) push the cross over DOWN slightly and it is now lower than the trans cross member. Yuk.

If I could figure out another way to do this on my 2 door, I would. But as it stands, I have to stack some washers up between the trans cross member and the engine/tranny skid in order to clear the exhaust. Booo.
