arb's are a very good locker and they are air actuated. if you plan on running only 35" tires, you should be fine with an arb up front so long as you upgrade your axle shafts to chromoly. being that you have a 2008 X 2-door, you will have a dana 44 rear and dana 30 front.

i'd recommend alloyusa shafts as they come preassembled and do not require you to replace the inner seal.

Who is the "they" that said 35s are not road worthy but 33s are? You know that both sizes come in more highway acceptable tread patterns, don't you? Like you can get an all terrain or all weather tire instead of a Mud terrain and get much better performance. I would say a 35" A/T is much better on the road than a 33" M/T. If you are referring to gears, and you have 4.10s, and you are not willing to regear 33s are much better than 35s. think hard and get the size you want or you will regret it!
