Air soft BB's & tire balancing worked!!!
So my Duratrac 315/75/16 tires needed too much weight so I started researching alternative methods. I was told by the tire shop that they use "Equal" all the time for truck tires and it works great. I feared that it would sneak out at times when I air down and that it may clump it condensations gets into the tire. With that said, I researched using Air Soft BB's. I looked at some charts and went with 8oz of air soft BB's in each tire. I was very skeptical as was my buddy at the tire place. However, after a day of driving it seems that they work like a charm. I have not gone over 60mph yet, but have nothing up to that point.
Is this the end of tire balancing with weights?????

I am still on the fence trying this myself...just had my set done static the other day and its like hit or miss day to day with a slight wobble one day and not the next...may just have to try this method finally.
I run dynabeads in my 38 mtrk's and I notice wobble when slow (probably when the beads are still moving around) and it smooths out significantly at 20mph...no vibes from then on out!
I used 12oz in mine

I am still on the fence as is mt tire guy, but I have to say, so far so good. The only draw back is if I have to add more, I have to break the bead. If I had screw in valve stems, I could do it that way, but I do not! Time will tell!
I guess if I were to do it in your shoes and to make sure there were no other variables, I would remove the weights. I also heard that more will not hurt.

Motorcycles, scooters, Yes. Most other vehicles, no. Many of our car and SUV customers have found that the addition of 2 - 3 ounces per tire in conjunction with their wheel weights makes the vehicle ride much smoother than before, increases tire mileage, and eliminates most future balancing requirements. The typical application for this is Mercedes, Porsche, BMW's, Corvettes, etc, but can be applied to most any car, SUV or minivan.
this is what ill go with and pull the weights....now to run and get some and figure out how to get them in the easiest.
