airbag light randomly comes on
Today as I was making my commute into school, I heard a funny chime coming from the dash. Turns out that the airbag light was flashing. It would turn off as I slowed down and went around a turn. Stayed on the whole duration I was traveling in a straight line and stayed on at the stop lights as well. I'm super busy with school and work, anyone have an idea or way to fix this issue.

If you only have dual front airbags, I can't help you there. The reality is it could be any piece of the system--the controller module, wiring to the bags, sensors, etc. Better safe than sorry in this case...if you're in an accident you definitely want them to deploy correctly!
I have the same problem for 2 years now. Since it changes with turning its most likely your clock spring in the steering wheel. Its around a $200 part. i have not attempted to change it yet.
I had the same issue. Chrysler recalled the right hand drive versions of our JK's for their bad clocksprings but apparently not the left hand drive versions. I emailed Chrysler about it, explained my situation and my thoughts on how absurd it is to recall essentially the same vehicle with the same defective part without putting out a recall on LHD models.
They replied by offering to cover my clockspring replacement under special warranty which I did in January. Problem solved and at no cost to me.
Thanks Chrysler!

It's your clockspring. I bought a new one on Ebay for $200 I think and I installed myself it in about 45 minutes. You want your airbag to work in the event of an accident, but you also want to have your horn working so that you can possibly avoid an accident. The problem won't get better on its own and eventually the airbag light will be on all the time, your horn will work sporadically, and your cruise control will have issues.
