Default Ajustable control arms

Hi everyone

I have a caster problem on my 07 Rubicon since I installed a TF 4'' system without the control arms. My caster went from 4 to 1.2 degrees. Today I just receive my new RE control arms fixed lower and adjustable upper.

2 questions

First: Anybody can tell my how long eye to eye do I have to adjust my upper arms to bring back the caster at 4 degrees?

Second: I just payed for a new alignment on the JK, do I have to redo the alignment after I put on the new control arms?

Daniel

with 4" of lift, you really should have gotten adjustable lower arms instead as they not only would have helped to set your caster but, they would have helped you to bring your axle back to where it needs to be under your jeep. there is no real set length for your uppers but they will need to be shortend and this write-up should help you out:

You won't need a new alignment, unless you want an ultra-precise caster setting; i.e. to the tenth of a degree. IMHO that's a waste of $70... just get a digital angle-finder if you want it set a little more precise.

To be honest, I did not realise that Rubicon Express lower front were fixed before I received them. Someone can explain why there upper are adjustable but not their lowers

If they came as a set, unless they have OE bushings or they provide additional clearance (due to shape) there is no reason for RE to make the lower CAs fixed other than reduced costs. Also, they might be slightly longer than stock, so by the time you set the uppers they might move the axle closer to its stock position longitudinally.

Default Rubicon Express

Yap! Lowers longer than the stock ones?

That would make sense However they dont mention it on their brochure. I will mesure them an come back with the info.
