Alignment issue
Post your numbers.
Camber is not adjustable from the factory, and adjustable bj's would allow them to correct an out of spec camber. But depending on how far out the numbers are, you may want to just watch the tread and rotate more frequently.
As far as what the cause is? You could have driven it off the lot with out of spec camber. Or bent your C's while offroad. Or bent them onroad just due to the tire size and normal driving. Or even bent the housing itself.
C Gussets are typically called 'cheap insurance' for a reason. If you do go with the offset bj's, you should probably get the gussets as well just to keep them from bending further. If you find that the housing is bent, you have a decision to make on whether to leave it alone, pay to have it straightened, replace it, or upgrade to an aftermarket axle.

how bad is your camber?
As said above get c-gussets welded so it doesn't get any worse. Once you have it locked in you can buy some adjustable ball joints to correct it if its bad enough... if its not that bad don't worry about it till your oem ones fail... they will after a few years.

I am not sure of the numbers the guy said it wasn't real bad I think like 1/2 degree maybe. I just put the bigger tires on it and hope nothing is bent as I haven't really been off road in it.

Different gussets may have different shapes, but they all do the same job. I think any of them would be fine.
For offroading 37's, a truss wouldn't be a bad idea. Just depends on your budget, use, future upgrade plans. As you found out with c gussets, a truss is an item that you won't know if you actually need until after something is bent.
Personally, I would not dump a bunch of money into a d30. Put the gussets on, then just drive it til it breaks and upgrade.
