Default Alignment procedure

Hey guys,

I'm going to go get an alignment done, and I was wondering what services they generally perform for the alignment. Here's what I need done:

Centering/aligning front axle (control arms, trackbar)
Centering/aligning rear axle (control arms, trackbar)
Centering steering
Toe/caster/camber if adjustable

Which of those are generally included in the alignment?

Micah

For an alignment the only thing they can do is adjust the steering wheel and toe in. Everything else will require additional parts

btw you can easily do both yourself- Here a writeup on it
http://project-jk.com/jeep-jk-write-...-end-alignment

Centering/aligning front axle (control arms, trackbar)- Will need an adj trackbar to center axle (if for some reason it is off center)
Centering/aligning rear axle (control arms, trackbar)- Same thing, adj trackbar
Centering steering- Can be easily done by turning drag link
Toe/caster/camber if adjustable- Can also be easily done by turning tie rod end

Caster - Believe that done by adj control arms
Camber- Believe thats done with adj ball joints

Most places are only gonna adjust toe in and out and center the steering wheel

Thanks for the reply. I have adjustable control arms/trackbars which is why I'm wondering. I'm thinking my initial settings with the lift installation might have been off a bit, and I was hoping to have it taken care of when I get an alignment done.

Id check with the shop first and see if they can/are willing to adjust the trackbar, control arms ect as some shops wont. hate to see you pay for an alignment to find out they wont adjust anything
