All Terrain or Mud Terrain
I have 35" BFG AT, no regrets what so ever. I chose those over MT/KM's for their durability and rating for how I intend to use the Jeep. It is my DD and I wanted the best on street performance I could get but yet have offroad capability when "needed". It is a compromise that everyone has to live with. What is more important to you, exceptional offroad capability with "impacted" street handling or exceptional street handling/durability with "exceptable" offroad capability? I didnt buy my Jeep for running mud bugs, but "if needed" I do have the capability to get me where I need/want to go. The only guys that can go farther are those with the same rig with more extreme tires. My goal wasnt to have the best mud bogger so I am very happy with my decision.
Only you know how you will drive your Jeep and what you want to do with it. Make your decision with your honest assessment of what you want and plan to do with your Jeep.
Good luck, to each his own !

BUT, If I have 35's I will be doing more extrme offroading, which I think the MT's will definitely help me out....
Probably wont make a decision until I have to, I have heard great cases for either tire, I will be thinking of all my driving conditions until I do get them.
thanks again for everyones advice and opinions.
first, Jeep wouldnt ship out a new vehicle with M/T's if they didnt work well on the street.
I have BFG Mud terrains, and when its time for new tires, I will be buying Mud Terrains (KM2's), they arent very loud, and they handle well. Only thing Ive noticed about them is when its raining they will lose grip if your driving over steel (covering roadwork in NYC, or the dividers on bridges i.e.- Varrazano Narrows bridge)
I drive ~90 miles daily.

I like the look of a fat, knobby tire on a 2-4 inch (or so) lifted Jeep but for tire performance check out BFGoodriches web page for comparisons (Oh there are other tire manufactures but do I really need to bore you with listing them, and besides you already know who they all are).
That statement is incorrect according to the email I got from BF Goodrich Tires today.. When I asked about the BFG MT KM2 tires, this what they said..

'yetibear' you crack me up!!!
I am picking up some AT's after my lift, I had ATs on my last truck for 50k miles and there was still another 10-15k left in them. I had MTs on a second set of wheels for a little while but they did not do as good in the sand here but both types are good, I never did get to try the MTs in mud where they shine. ATs like to throw rocks along the side too, and it doesnt help my driveway is all rocks.
