Altitude Mods??
I put it behind a programmer because the stock MAP system sucks and the ECU can't compensate for the increased airflow properly. The Flashpaq allows it to adjust for the increased airflow. I honestly think that a big part of the reason that I can't tell a difference in power around town, compared to at sea level, is because of my Flashpaq/CAI. I haven't had a chance to put on the MBRP exhaust. I can definitely feel a big power drop off at 10k' though.
Forced induction is about the only thing that would make a large difference up that high. I wish...
Hello from the high country, (9200' elevation), I live near Winter Park (12 miles notrh in the Tabernash Highlands) and work at the ski area. I moved here in 94' from the Chicago area and have seen a low of -48 three Novembers ago and a record snow storm 72 inches in 72 hours in march of 04' and I agree with 95% of what has been said,
in personal experiance with every kind of vehical up here....a block heater is nice when the temps get below -20 and the car sits for more than 6 hours outside, the factory oil is good for winter (it's really thin 5w/30w), a bigger battery is good idea for a replacement but the stock one should be ok till it dies, power windows no problems any temp, flat spots? never had that happen, windshields up here are replaced about every other year, yes the hot defroster will crack them only if there is a chip in the windshield, the part where you stick the key may freeze but the internal lock parts don't so yes you can lock your Jeep with the remote with out worries,
a supercharger is the only , only way to get back the power............there is less air up here and you can not "tune" the power back with out air, period.
If you have any direct high altitude or winter questions please feel free to PM me and I'll do what I can.

So should I get a flashpaq instead of a procal? I really dont plan on any more mods till next summer when I'm back in Florida. I probably wont get a intake for a bit but if I did I would get a snorkel so would that be worse for higher elavations? Also, what is siping and how much does it usually run?
Here's a tech article from Discount tires, a site sponsor on siping.
http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/tireSiping.dos
Prices are usually around $15 per tire, used tires will have an hourly charge to get out any rocks or debris to protect the blades.
