Question am i f***'d? (rubbing)

Got 295 70 17s put on yesterday. Was turning tday and it felt like the tire was rubbing something. Can this cause damage? How can I fix it? I have the 17 in stock rims on. Did I damage something already? I'm just sketched cause its brand new haha

go take a look at the back of the front bumper and see if it rubbed there. you can always throw on a set of spacers and youll have all the clearance you need and a nice wide stance

You need spacers. From what I've seen on the forum, the only good brand is Spidertracs. Unlikely that you did any damage (especially to the suspension), but you may want to check your tires for cuts.

If I get new rims - do I need spacers? Seems a bit iffy.

If you still have your flimsy air dam on, that's the likely thing. Just turn your wheels and climb under and look around for the culprit.

Did you cause any damage? VERY unlikely.

Spydertrac 1.5 spacers is a fix. That is what I used with stock wheels and 295x70/17.

If you felt the rubbing when you turned, chances are that the front tires are rubbing on the air dam (assuming you still have the front plastic air dam). If it's rubbing against the suspension components at full turn (left or right), then, as suggested, you'll need some wheel spacers to correct the backspacing with the stock wheels, OR, get aftermarket wheels with the right backspacing - most people will run anywhere between 4" - 4.5" of backspacing while stock wheels are at 6.25". If you're just rubbing on the plastic air dam, then you just need to trim or take the air dam off completely, and that should fix the problem.

The first thing you need to do is list your JK model, accessories and mods in your profile so others can recomend proper fix's. Everyone has something a little different.
